L8 — global integration and functional access: a resonant hub broadcasts the dominant pattern

A global metastable resonant hub makes information system-wide. It resonance-locks to the gated module’s pattern (lock margin ≥ 0.92) and a non-holder module recovers it from the broadcast alone (recall 1.0 vs no-hub chance ≈ 1/M); moving the gate flexibly routes any module’s content (1.0 vs fixed-gate ≈ 1/M); and a functional PCI-analog peaks at the metastable edge.

Functional access means broadcast availability, not phenomenal experience — the firewall is held strictly. Built on the frozen L0 attractor and the L3 gate, three milestone lines all verify: selective access plus global broadcast (G1), reconfigurable flexible routing (G2), and a functional PCI-analog = integration × differentiation that is a clean inverted-U, zero both isolated (I=0) and over-driven (D→0), high at an emergent interior peak (G3). The inherited operating band is made concrete (G4), with two honest [O]: unbounded-rate and no-release over-write routing.

L8 integrates the embodied modules of L1–L7 into one system. The brain’s access window broadcasts the currently dominant pattern; the wave machine builds a global resonant hub that does the same, and “access” is used strictly in the functional sense of availability (session v0.9, digest 52a0ce34…).

G3 reproduces the brain’s access signature as a mechanism, not a number: the access band emerges from the sweep, and the brain’s order parameter R = 0.39 is deliberately not transferred (it belongs to a different order parameter at a different scale). Information is globally available when, and only when, the hub sits at the metastable edge.

The operating band, made concrete

The inherited L7 operating-band limit becomes a measured edge here: routing holds within the hub’s lock-latency band (edge ≈ 20 settle-steps). Within that band the global workspace behaves as designed — selective, reconfigurable, integrated and differentiated.

Honest negatives and the firewall

[O]×2 the open edges. Two routing regimes stay open: unbounded-rate routing, and no-release over-write routing — a carry-forward hub given 4× dwell reaches only 0.71 versus the re-cued 1.0. Firewall, reaffirmed at the high-PCI engaged point: a high functional-PCI-analog is broadcast information made globally available and kept distinct — nothing more.
