Restoration lever 3: remove the sensitising program
Lever S3 REMOVES the upstream program that LOWERED the crossing threshold in the first place -- the chronic uncoupled fuel-sparing of the hibernation bridge (PDK4) and the low-grade inflammatory sensitiser. This is the honesty-gated lever: γ places the gene, but the uncoupling/network mechanism is graded cited-biology [O], never derived.
The analog of analgesic L3 (remove the sensitising drive), and like L3 it is fail-closed: every S3 entry's mechanism link must begin [O] with a citation, or the build halts. The honesty gate passes (PASS). Reads [V]; mechanism link [O] cited; HYPOTHESES only.
What S3 does to the law
S3 targets the cause of the gain drop d itself -- if the uncoupling/inflammatory program is what shallowed the basin, removing it RESTORES the crossing threshold structurally. This is the deepest and least certain lever, which is why its mechanism is graded open.
Candidate nodes (mechanism link graded [O])
| target | γ | |hsp| | restoration direction | cited axis |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PDK4 | 1.4112 | 0.6453 | remove the chronic uncoupled fuel-sparing program (the hibernation-bridge misfire, RD4) | cited: PDK4 co-upregulation in torpor and insulin resistance (RD4 bridge biology) |
| TNF | — | — | remove the chronic low-grade inflammatory sensitiser that lowers the crossing threshold | cited: chronic inflammation / insulin-resistance sensitisation axis (gamma not in this atlas) |
The honesty gate (fail-closed)
Every S3 entry is checked: its mechanism link must start [O], must not be derived ([V]/[F]), and must carry a citation; the declared S3 set must be present; the map firewall must state the S3 link is [O]. Result: PASS (failures: none).
The gamma read places an S3 gene in the lever map but the uncoupling/network mechanism is NOT captured by the read and is graded cited-biology [O]. These are hypotheses about an upstream program, not clinical recommendations.
