Cardiorespiratory Emergence: Heart and Lung as Coupled Relaxation Oscillators under Reflex Control

This volume derives from the jamming branch of VP Theory → /physics/. Heart and lung are emerged from their measured master-gene stacking stabilities and shown to be the same relaxation oscillator; their reflex loops and coupling, and a shared R19 oncology kernel, follow from that one substrate with deterministic, graded results.

Resting heart rate 1.17 Hz is the single time anchor. Breathing rate 16.86/min, the apnea threshold (loop gain ≈ 1), RSA (HF-HRV lock), the Cheyne–Stokes period (≈ 2× delay), and baroreflex regulation are reproduced; cancer relative risk rises from RR(0)=1 with no threshold.

Grade ledger

Every claim is graded: [F] forced by the substrate, [V] reproduced and checked, [L] anchored to a cited value, [O] open with a stated obstacle. The two open items are the absolute cancer relative-risk magnitude and absolute organ size; both are detailed in §9.
